Wick Fowler Collection
Journalist and chili enthusiast Wick Fowler (1909-1972) was born Homer Thomas Wilson Fowler in Big Sandy, Texas and grew up in Victoria, Texas. The Wick Fowler papers span 1944-1991 (bulk dates: 1944-1945, 1965-1978) and document Fowler’s journalism work as well as the Chili Appreciation Society International and Fowler’s 2-Alarm Chili product.
It’s Only Rock ‘N’ Roll Collection
Ron Young, longtime music journalist, songwriter and, musician grew up in San Antonio, Texas, and was the founder and publisher of the pioneering indie music newspaper It’s Only Rock ’N’ Roll. The publication chronicled the rise of punk and New Wave music in San Antonio and Austin, as well as local and regional rock ’n’ roll, blues and heavy metal acts.
Jay Milner Papers
The Jay Milner papers cover 1960-1994 and consist of newspaper clippings of columns and reviews written by Milner, personal correspondence, photographs, and print materials. Series include I.
